Nonsuch Palace A new exhibition of architectural drawings of Nonsuch Palace Charles Dickens and Victorian Cheam In celebration of Dickens' 200th birthday. Frank Dickinson and Little Holland House To commemorate the 50th anniversary of his death, Whitehall presents an exhibition about the artist, designer and craftsman who created his own 'Ideal Home' in Carshalton Beeches. This exhibition has now finished.
This Exhibition has now finished but EcoLocal took a look at life in the London Borough of Sutton in the past in order to learn how to tackle issues such as climate change now, using the strategies of older generations. "Unsung Heroines of World War Two." Unsung Heroines featured the real life stories of the women and girls of World War Two; ordinary people whose lives changed forever, overnight. The stories that were featured at Whitehall were the stories of local women. The full Unsung Heroines project is the work of local photo and sound journalist, Belinda Sinclair. The exhibition has now finished but the project is ongoing and will continue until there are no more stories to collect. If you have a wartime story to tell, please write it down and include your full name and, particularly if a woman, the name you were known by during wartime - nickname, pet name, maiden name etc. If you have photographs to include please copy them and identify who is who in the picture, then send your story to Belinda Sinclair. click here to contact Belinda by email.
